Rotary District 7210 Holiday Party
A festive evening to remember! Last week, we gathered with fellow Rotarians for the Rotary District 7210 Holiday Party at the Newburgh Brewing Company. The holiday spirit was in full swing with great food, laughter, and camaraderie.
To top it off, we were surprised by a special visit from Santa Claus himself! Thank you to everyone who made this celebration so magical. Here’s to a season of giving, joy, and service above self.
District Interact Update

Membership Growth: Why It Matters
Does your club have a plan to grow its membership? If not, it’s time to start thinking about it! Setting goals and creating a small membership committee (even just a couple of people) can make a huge difference in bringing in new members.
Why is growth so important? Two big reasons:
- Members are aging out. Let’s face it—some members just aren’t as active as they used to be.
- More members = more fun & more impact! Extra hands and hearts mean less work for everyone and bigger, better service projects.
Right now, too many clubs rely on a handful of people to do all the work. Sound familiar? Growing your membership can change that.
The Reality Check
Every year, we lose about 15% of our members across the district. If we’re not focusing on growing, we’ll keep shrinking—and no one wants that.
Here are a few ideas to bring in new members:
- Host a Visitors Day/Night. Show off what your club does!
- Ask your guest speakers if they’d like to join. Who better to partner with your club?
- Start a Satellite Club. A lot of clubs meet at Noon, but that doesn’t work for everyone. A Satellite Club can meet at different times—maybe in the evening or on weekends. Bonus: It can meet just once or twice a month!
So, What’s Your Plan?
The District Membership Committee is here to help. Want some tips? Need fresh ideas? Invite us to chat with your club or board.
